Il s’agit d’activer ou non le contrôle de l’état de l’imprimante pour affichage dans l’interface du Spooler. Cette récupération de l’état réel de l’imprimante est indépendante du contrôle d’impression qui est effectué en plus de l’envoi des données pour contrôler les erreurs.
L’utilisation du contrôle d’état suppose que l’imprimante (ou le périphérique) de destination soit capable de renvoyer ce type d’information.
