A queue can be defined as a Mapping object which receives the list of files to process and organises processings according to priorities. The queue does not establish any other connection with a physical printer. It is an object which only manages a list of files. It is at least linked to a device which does establish connections with physical equipment. If it is in Ready or Suspended state, then the files will not be processed by the device.
