Workflows make the ONYX Server execution engine. A Workflow is defined as a set of configurable conditions and commands, executed when a new file is received on an input connector (Scanfolder robot, listening server, entry point, or by Web Service request). Commands are processed one by one: the second command is processed after the first one was processed properly, and so on until the end of the Workflow.
